Welcome to It’s FAB, Food Art & Beauty!
Our first feature will be a mural.
I picked this one for the following reasons: 1) it’s located on a restaurant and food will be a frequent subject of conversation around her. 2) the mural shows a community of people and that’s what I intend to do with this blog, invite other people to share their experience and grow with my community locally and globally.

Mural of the Day : Champy’s
This mural is located on Martin Luther King Street in Chattanooga, TN. We will talk more about the street in future posts, but you can read more in my book Strolling Chattannooga.
Food: Champy’s is a local restaurant with two locations, one on MLK and a recent one on Lee Hwy. It’s totally laid back, it makes you feel like you are in a beach shack and the food without is “typical American”. I grew up in Paris ,France so I can often be a very selective foodist. I love trying new things but I stay loyal to food with lots of saveur. Champy is not for the picky eaters but it certainly is the right environment to kick back and enjoy some good company.
I have eaten there on two occasions, not because of the food but because of my overall nutrition. They have some great chicken wings and fries and as much as I loved them, I use a lot of self-discipline and limit my trips there because the food and atmosphere will certainly have you come back.
A fun feature of this establishment is that they have dollar bills taped all around the walls. You can try to pass time counting them, or at least keep children busy by challenging them to count them, if you are eating out with kids. Both locations are family friendly and the staff is generally very pleasant.
Art: I have yet to know the name of the artists that should be credited for this fun piece but there are many murals around the area.
Beauty: The beauty tip for today, which is one you will hear me say often, is to make sure that you stroll frequently, play tourist wherever you are, it’s good for your body and for your mental health as well.
To see more murals and enjoy a very fun tour of the city order or download my book on Amazon.
I plan on releasing a book with nothing but murals of Chattanooga, TN later on this summer but for now, you can enjoy some very good vibes and some great recipes from my cookbook It’s Pineapple Things!
It’s a Pineapple Thing is my third book, but it’s my first cookbook and it’s loaded with inspirational words! It’s a Pineapple Thing!
